Lock marked Crown over VR, 1858 Enfield. Top of breech II*. Stock cartouche is still visible and DC in diamond on opposite side of butt stock. This musket has seen considerable use and would fit nicely in a Fenian Raids museum. Extensive exterior wear and tear including corrosion and characteristic wearing away of the stock at the breech from repeated firing. Bore is corroded. Hammer works and has strong spring. No cleaning rod. Interesting display-only example.

1855 Lancaster’s Patent. .577. Lock marked Lancaster’s Patent. Hammer cocks reliably, strong spring. Bayonet lug is correct for British Pattern 1856 Yataghan bayonet with leading tab. Complete with ramrod. Comes with tags attached from Ed Demby Military Antiques of Toronto.
