Admiralty Pattern 1038 and with typical backwards military nomenclature it is officially called Lantern, Signaling, Portable. Made by Thos. Pocklington Ltd, Toronto with a distinct serial number and dated 1945. Very good condition with coloured filters in the lenses, bulb in the light and even has a Rube Goldberg battery hookup for 3 D size batteries using alligator clips. Very interesting Canadian Navy collectable item.
