Very clean example of a Lee Enfield No. 1 Mk III* rifle refurbished for WWII use. Work was expertly done by Parker Hale and marked PH on receiver at rear. Butt socket retains the marking B. for B.S.A. production with the S.A. and original manufacture date ground off and 1943 added. Restocked using original WW1 era wood, excellent workmanship. Matching numbers re-serialized on bolt, front band, sight and receiver. 1942 dated barrel, bore is VG+ with strong rifling. Export rifle with ENGLAND on left butt socket and proof house markings on barrel. Very clean example of this classic rifle.
