Japanese Personal kit hair washing powder
Japanese WWII Military Eyeglasses
Japanese Mortuary tablets (2)
We believe these are mortuary tablets from Okinawa because they are red background. Thin wooden pieces 20mm wide x 100mm long with writing on front and back appear to have been removed from a memorial to be carried in a soldier’s personal kit. The family name on each tablet is the same and is “Higa or Hika, a common name in Okinawa and ages 18 and 43 years. One photo is example of how these were displayed in the home and is for information only, not for sale.
