Swedish M26 helmet
West German M1 helmet
German (Prussian) World War One Jager zu Pferde Metalhelme Model 1915 Steel helmet
Original era manufacture steel helmet body with distinctive pointed back/neck shield often called a “lobster tail”. Prussian Eagle helmet plate and rivets at back of helmet have subdued finish mandated for World War One combat helmets. The spike and base have been cleaned to a shiney finish. Spike has the quad leaf base and is held in place with 4 round head rivets instead of screws. Maker name Helbing & Sackenwitz is marked inside the helmet near the spike and size 56 on bottom of rear rim. Liner is not original but a friction fit period replacement not permanently attached to helmet shell. Shell has one elongated dent visible in photo. Missing cockades and chinstrap. Very nice World War One item that can be carefully restored.
