No. 36 Mk 1 Grenade FW

German Model 1914 Rod grenade body with fired fuze

CA$195.00
The German Model 1914 rod grenade was a very advanced ordnance item for the era. It has a complicated and well made nose fuze as well as a cup shaped ranging disk. The nose fuze is very advanced yet simple to use. The safety pin is removed from the fuze, screwed in to the grenade and it’s ready to launch. The ranging disk had 3 positions to determine the distance of travel. This specimen is supplied with a fired fuze. The ranging disk and rod are missing. Very interesting WWI artifact. Rod grenades were replaced by cup discharger grenades in 1917.
