A somewhat unusual variant of the standard M7 bayonet. Made by Carl Eickhorn Waffenfabrik of West Germany in the late 1970’s to fit the G3 rifle as well as the M16. This version has no lower crossguard because it would obstruct the sight when mounted on the G3 rifle. One piece grip fastened with screw bolts. A similar version was made for Colt on contract and marked with the Colt logo. This may be an export version as it has no Colt marking, nor does it have Made in W. Germany markings. Scabbard is German made M8A1 pattern.
