Bayonet Training, Fencing, set, Canadian
Very interesting set of three Bayonet Training artifacts which includes: Fencing Musket manufactured by Harold A. Wilson Co. Toronto (Ontario, Canada), which Wilson marketed as a “Spring Bayonet Rifle”. Although crude construction it is nicely maker marked, dated 1916 with C-broad arrow. The stock has been broken and reassembled as evidence of serious use. Overall length 61 inches. Also included is the very uncommon fencing helmet/mask very nicely marked as made in London 1916, carried and sold by the Harold Wilson Co. with C- broad arrow mark. Lastly a Bayonet Training Stick, commonly used in conjunction with an actual rifle and bayonet. 69 inches overall length. Superb combination of Canadian WWI bayonet training equipment.
